Contrary to popular belief, cork expansion strips should not be used to fill expansion gaps underneath skirting boards or other trims but instead should only be used when an expansion joint is left visible, either around the perimeter of a room or in the field of a floor to increase expansion.
When using cork expansion strip it is important that a flexible adhesive is used on the underside only, this enables the cork to move horizontally without any vertical movement.
